Book This Hotel
Originally built as an exclusive island getaway for the likes of William Rockefeller and J.P. Morgan, this Victorian-era resort was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978. Restoration during the 1980s established the resort as a historic hotel with modern amenities in unspoiled natural surroundings.
The hotel consists of five main buildings surrounded by landscaped grounds in the center of the Jekyll Island Historic District. Period furnishings and ornate woodwork inside complement the atmosphere created by an exterior tower, bay windows, and verandas. Several boutiques and collectible shops now operate on site. Business facilities include eight meeting rooms and a ballroom for 150. Complimentary high-speed wired Internet access is available at the concierge desk computer. Massage is also available. The hoteloffers complimentary transportation throughout the island.
